Ann Via Jessee, 78, of Crozet, died on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Hospice House in Charlottesville,VA
She was born on August 26, 1934, to the late Joseph and Goldie Via.
She was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Jessee, a sister, Colleen Via; a brother, George Via; and two grandsons, Isaiah Jessee and Parker Rose.
She is survived by her husband, of 53 years, Clifford A. Jessee of Crozet, two daughters, Darlene Jones and her husband Blake of Crimora, and Dana Layne and her husband, Dave of Crozet; one son, Dwayne Jessee and his wife, Pam of free Union; two brothers, Julian Va and his wife Betty, of Crimora and Charles Via and his wife, Joann of Charlottesville; and a sister-in-law, Geneva Via of Woodbridge. Ann had six grandchildren; three step-grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
Ann was an active member of the Waynesboro Chapter 105 of the Eastern Star and Blue Ridge Court #8 of the Amaranth.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Crozet Baptist Church with David Collyer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial contributions be made to Crozet Fire Department, P. O.
Box 696, Crozet, VA 22932, Western Albemarle Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 188, Crozet, VA 22932 or the American Cancer Society, 3042-D, Berkmar Drive Charlottesville, VA 22901.
