Cindy Lynn
Sandridge
Nov 14, 1974 — Sep 9, 2025
Cindy Lynn Sandridge of Shipman, VA departed this life on September 9, 2025 at the age of 50, surrounded with love and her family at UVA Medical Center.
Cindy was born on November 14, 1974 to parents Harry and Betty West. Cindy married the love of her life Mike at the age of 17, through thick and thin they always enjoyed doing all things together. She loved to adventure and loved to go on little weekend trips with her husband and her grandchildren (her children were rarely invited, but those grandbabies always got an invite). She enjoyed family time and was always wanting to plan a dinner or lunch together. She loved sitting and listening to her husband play his guitar while she sung her favorite songs. She had a horrible online shopping addiction to the point she never knew what was showing up and always had so many Amazon boxes to get rid of. Cindy was famous for playing cards and being called the "card shark" as she somehow always ended up with the best hand. She was always the life of the party and will be deeply missed.
Cindy worked for Lowe's over the last 18+ years, working in multiple different departments and had multiple different titles through that time from a cashier all the way to assistant store manager. She enjoyed her work most days and always had stories to tell.
Cindy was proceeded in death by her father Harry West and her brother Ronnie West.
Cindy leaves to cherish her memory her husband of almost 33 years Michael Sandridge. Her children, Courtney (Warren) Gillespie, Aimee (Cole) Sandridge, and Charlie Sandridge. Her three grandbabies Rylee and Brayden Gillespie, and Catherine Grant. Her closest friends Lisa and Earl Currier. As well as many other close relatives and friends.
As a family we want to thank all of the members of her care team, specifically the entire Surgical Trauma ICU, Transplant Team, and especially Dr. B. You all made her time bearable and showed so much love to her and to us for which we will be eternally grateful.
The family will receive friends and family at Anderson Funeral Home in Crozet, VA on Friday 9/12/25 from 4-6 PM. A graveside service will follow on Saturday 9/13/25 at 10 AM at the Sandridge Cemetery in Sugar Hollow, VA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alyssa House at thealyssahouse.org which Cindy held close to her heart.
