Classie Lewis Garrison, 92, of Stuarts Draft, Virginia passed away on October 19, 2018 at Stuarts Draft Retirement Community. She was born on July 1, 1926, in Boonesville, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lairdy Garrison, Jr.

Classie is survived by one daughter, Ellie Garrison Vess of Staunton, VA, three sons, Clyde J. Garrison (Wanda) of Stuarts Draft, VA Dewey R. Garrison (Karen) of Easton, CT and Alvin E. Garrison (Marina) of Oakland Park, FL. She is also survived by nine granchildren, Robert Lawrence Vess, Jr., Kevin Shawn Vess, Susan Gartrell, Kelly Donato, Scott Garrison, Pam Cruz, Ashley Bodenlos, Lance Garrison, Celina Lutz, and twelve great-grand-children, Robert Shawn Vess, Kevin Van Vess, Nicholas Donato, Charlotte Donato, William Gartrell, Garrison Verner, Victor Verner, Elena Verner, Charlie Cruz, Juliette Bodenlos, Parker Garrison, Grant Garrison and two Step-grandchildren, Kevin Coyner, Kris Sacra

Classie was a member of Crozet United Methodist Church for over sixty years. She attended faithfully with her children. Classie loved her church and taught her children the love of God.
She was retired from Acme Visible Records after 38 years of service.

Classie loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren they were the love of her life. Family was one of the most important things in her life and she showed her love to each of them in special ways.

Classie had many hobbies which included working in her vegetable garden and canning the fresh vegetables. She made the best homemade jams, jellies and pickles. Her pickles were well known as she sold them in her yard sales. She also enjoyed making quilts and crocheting. She enjoyed traveling and visiting her family members.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p m on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Crozet, VA.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 1:00 p m at Rockgate Cemetery in Crozet, VA with Rev David A. Rash and Rev Sarah Evancho  officiating.
