Clifford Allen Jessee went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 19, 2014. He was born June 15, 1932 in Honaker, Virginia to the late Henry & Flora Jessee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Estella Ann Via Jessee of 54 years, a son Darrell Allen Jessee, two grandsons, Issah John Jessee and Steven Parker Rose, one brother, J. C. Jessee of Lebanon, VA and brother-in-law George Via of Woodbridge, VA
He is survived by two daughters, Darlene Jones and husband Blake of Crimora, VA, Dana Layne and husband Dave of Charlottesville, VA., one son, Dwayne Jessee and wife Pam of Free Union, VA. He had 9 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He had one brother Jack Jessee and wife Jean of Narrows, VA., two sisters, Carolyn Armstrong of Kingsport, TN and Henrietta Bratanov and husband Steve of Honaker, VA He had 13 nieces and nephews. He had two brother-in-Laws Julian Via and wife Betty of Grottoes, VA, Charles Via and wife Joann of Charlottesville,VA
He was a member of Crozet Baptist Church in Crozet, VA. He was a member of the masonic Lodge in Crozet, VA. Clifford was a member of the King Solomon's Lodge #191 AF&AM for over 55 years. His title was P.D.D.G.M., When another mason addresses him he is referred to as "Right Worshipful". A member of the Armaranth of Crozet and Eastern Star of Waynesboro,VA. He was retired from the United States Postal service with 32 years of service. He also served in the United States Air Force and in the Korean War.
His hobbies were camping, woodworking, reading, gardening.
In lieu of flowers family suggest that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimers Association.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Crozet.
A funeral service will be held at the Crozet Baptist Church at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 24, 2014. Internment will follow at the Rockgate Cemetery with Rev. David Collyer and Pastor Duane Johnson officiating.
