Debra Kay Farrish Gibson passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at the University of Virginia. Born on November 28, 1964, Debra was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Debra was preceded in death by her father, James W. Farrish, her mother, Lola F. Farrish, and her brother, Larry 'Lee' Farrish.  She is survived by her husband, Ronald Wayne Gibson, her son Jonathan W. Gibson, and her daughter Amanda K. Gibson. Debra was a proud grandmother to her granddaughters, August Dunivan and Rosalee Gibson, and her grandson, Braxton L. Figgins. She is also survived by her sister Shelby Perry and her husband Jason Perry, her brother Jr Farrish and his wife Tina Farrish, and her special sister-in-laws Debbie Gibson and Sharon Gibson, as well as her special brother-in-law Clinton Gibson and his wife Mary Gibson. Along with many nieces and nephews and a very special sister by heart Renee Gibson and her husband Mike Gibson.

A family visitation will be held on Wednesday afternoon, October 8, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Service, located at 5888 St George Ave, Crozet, VA 22932. A church service will follow on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Mount Ed Baptist Church in Batesville, officiated by Reverend Ronald Nickels. A graveside ceremony will take place following the church service. Anderson Funeral Services of Crozet is in charge of arrangements.
