Dorothy McDaniel Farish, 88, of Greenwood, VA died at the Martha Jefferson Hospital on March 4, 2017. She was born the daughter of the late Selma Beasley Brown and Herbert Burley McDaniel on July 4, 1928. Also preceeding her in death was her husband Shirley F. Farish and her sister Hazel M. Fitzgerald.

She is survived by her children Pat Harden (Bill), Wanda Faye Jones (Ricky), Debra F. Gibson (George), Connie Cheryl Farish, Billy Farish (Nancy). Her grandchildren, Jamie Gough (Natalie), Jason Farish ( Jamie), Casey Powell (Curtis), Sheri Pilcher,W. Chris Pilcher, Brandy Pilcher (Zack), Amy Nichole Farish. Her great grandchildren David, Jason, Amelia, Gough Tyler Farish, Trey, Mackenzie, Brooklyn Powell, Brantley Davenport, Also numerous nieces and nephews,

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Western Albemarle Rescue, P. O. Box 188, Crozet, VA 22932.

The family would like to thank the staff at Martha Jefferson Hospital for the care and support they gave her.

There will be a graveside service at Holly Memorial Gardens on Wednesday March 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Colleen Swingle -Titus officiating.
