Dorothy "Dotty" Thomas, 87, of Crozet, passed away on October 14, 2025. Dotty was born on October 16, 1937, in Frederick, Maryland, to the late Elias and Margaret Ramsburg.  Dotty is survived by her loving children; her son Mike (Chris); daughter, Elizabeth; brother, Richard (Karin); three grandsons, Michael, James, and Ryan; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dotty was preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick); and son-in-law, David.

Dotty's family would especially like to thank her incredible team of caregivers from Visiting Angels, and the staffs at Martha Jefferson Hospital and the Colonnades. A memorial service will be held at Mt. Moriah Church in White Hall on November 17, 2025 at 1:00 to remember and celebrate both Dotty and Dick. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial contributions to the Western Albemarle Rescue Squad Foundation (WARSF).
