Edward Thomas O'Connell, age 88, went to his heavenly home to be with his Lord on February 4, 2021.

Edward was born to Edward George and Mary (Millet) O'Connell on November 11, 1932, Bronx, New York.

A graduate of the Long Island Agricultural and Technical Institute at Farmingdale, New York, Ed began his career in the frozen food industry as Quality Control Manager for Red L Foods in New Bedford, MA.  After several years, he was hired by Morton Frozen Foods and was promoted to Quality Control Manager for a newly built plant in Russellville, Arkansas.  In 1973, Ed became the Product Coordinator for Morton and ConAgra based in Charlottesville.

Ed loved spending time with his family, traveling, cooking, and taking three mile walks daily. He was a dedicated volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Ed was ordained as a Presbyterian Elder and loved studying the Scriptures.

Ed is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kay Lucille, daughter Maureen Tilley and her husband Hilton, son Shawn O'Connell and his companion Tina Tawney, granddaughter Corinne Tilley and her husband Dylan Finney and grandsons Hilton Michael and Jack.  He was predeceased by his son, Edward Brian O'Connell and a sister, Eileen Mollineaux.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
