Elwood E. Shiflett (Pete) of Crozet, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2013.

He was 77 years old and the son of the late Clarence and Nellie Shiflett. Also, he was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Graves.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Katie Graves Shiflett; their daughter, Regina S. Miller and husband Dan of Crozet, Va, their son, Gary D. Shiflett and wife Laura of Columbia, Maryland; four loving grandchildren Zachary and Mattrew Shiflett, Keith and Amber Miller. Pete's siblings, John Henry Shiflett,Gladys Farish, Dot Walton, Daisy Fitzgerald, Gilbert Shiflett, and Calvin Shiflett, as well as many nephews and nieces.

Pete retired from Acme Visible Records after 41 years. He was an avid sportsman with many activities, including bowling, hunting , pitching horseshoes with friends and was a lifetime member of the Sportsman Club.

After contracting the Parkinson's Disease he enjoyed tending his garden and watching his favorite sports teams.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 at the Anderson Funeral Home on Monday, October 7, 2013.

A funeral service will be conducted at the gravesite in Holly Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
