Obituary

Emmett Hite, Jr. 71, of Beaver Hill Park, Crozet, VA, passed away April
5, 2013 at the University of Virginia Hospital. He was born February
10, 1942 in Albemarle County. He was preceded in death by his parents,
the late Emmett Hite, Sr. and Ruby Currier Hite, two sisters, Barbara
Reid and Dorothy Herman, one brother, Raymond Hite and a special friend,
Ann Moses-Johnson.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Dean Hite and friend Beth of
Williamsburg, VA; Randy Lee Hite and wife Hope of Faber, VA; his former
wife Audrey Hite of Staunton, VA; and daughter-in-law, Debra Hite, one
sister, Joan Grissinger of Crozet, VA; one uncle William Currier of
Charlottesville, VA; three granddaughters, Deanna Hite of Williamsburg,
VA, Heather Hite Ramsey of Shipman, VA, and Amanda Hite Moyer of Afton,
VA, three great-grandchildren, Faith Rivers, Gabrilla Ramsey, and
Makenzie, and one great-grandson, Caleb Chilton and a number of nieces,
nephews and cousins.

He was an avid hunter, and loved Nascar and baseball.

At his request there will be no visitation or service at the funeral
home, his body will be cremated.

Family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Society.

Please join us to celebrate the life of Emmett Hite, Sunday, April 7th at the Rockfish Valley Volunteer Fire and Rescue at 2:00 pm.
