Joyce Wood Shifflett, 77. of Crozet died at her residence on July 1, 2018.  She was born on October 16, 1940 to the late James Allen Wood and Ethel Torbert Wood and step-mother Pauline Via Wood and preceded in death by one son, Ronald Lee Shifflett, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ronald Lee Shifflett, Sr., two sons, Gregory Allen Shifflett and Timothy Wayne Shifflett (Pam), two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Rosson (Phil Adkins), and Tammy Jeannette Seal (Dougie Jr.) her step-brother Ronnie Via (Carolyn).  Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jimbo Lee Rosson, Jr. (Sarah), Kevin Rosson, Douglas Seal, III (Chyna), Cory Shifflett; four great-grandchildren, Katelynn Rosson (Cory), Alicia Rosson, (Austin), Emaleigh Rosson, Wyatt Rosson and one great-great grandson, Jackson Richard Lee Bosselman; a very special sister-in-law Doris Brown and husband Bill Brown, two very spoiled "fur" babies, Christy Ann and Mindy Leeann.

She had been employed by the Crozet Drug Store and as a CNA at Windham.  She retired from Mortons in 1977 and enjoyed working in her ceramic business, researching geneology, enjoying country music, and maintaining her flower beds, but most importantly loving her family.

Family will receive friends  at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, July 5, 2018, from 6-8 pm.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
