Leslie R. "Pug" Fitzgerald Jr., 75,of Crozet, Virginia, departed this world Saturday, March 19, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Pug was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie R. "Boodley" Fitzgerald Sr. and Clara Kidd Fitzgerald. He is survived by his wife Mary (lou) Wooten Fitzgerald, his children Kim Sementelli and her husband Tony of Florida. Troy Fitzgerald of Waynesboro, VA, Jonathan Fitzgerald and his wife Heidi of Colorado, Jason Fitzgerald and his partner Kellie Carter of Crozet, VA, a step-daughter Tammy Caul of Crozet, VA. two sisters, Ruby Seal and her husband Wayne of Crozet, VA, Ann Patton of Crozet VA. Fourteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Pug was an avid NASCAR fan and looked and looked forward to watching his favorite soap opera, Days of our Lives daily. Pug enjoyed many things during his time here on earth, racing corvettes, boating at Lake Anna, listening to one of his favorite musicians Bennie Dodd, Sunday dinners with his family, and most importantly, being "Papa Pug" to his beloved grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 11 am at the Crozet Baptist Church, Saturday, March 26, 2016.

A memorial service will follow at 12:00 noon with the Reverand David Collyer officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Crozet Baptist Church.
