Lillian Rebecca Gray, 83, of Afton, died surrounded by family on Friday, May 15, 2026.

Born December 6, 1942, in Albemarle County, she was the daughter of the late Stuart V. Gray and Myrtle R. Gray. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Walter Gray and Roger Gray, and her brother-in-laws, Roger Wells, Rick White, and Norman Williams.

Lillian (Sis) is survived by her best friend, sister, and guardians, Teresa Goode and her husband, Hunter Goode of Afton. She is also survived by three sisters: Annie Williams of Barboursville, Jane Wells of Afton, and Brenda Gray White of Crozet; and three brothers: Kenneth Gray and his wife, Linda, of Greenwood, Robert Gray of Greenwood, and Dennis Gray of Afton.

Lillian (Sis) brought a smile to everyone she met. She never met a stranger. Sis enjoyed her time outside, or just spending time coloring.
