Obituary

Louis Miles "Cap" Everard, 79, died at his residence in Crimora, VA on April 4, 2016.He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 7, 1937 to the late Louis Henry and Rose Elizabeth Everard.Miles was a teacher for most of his life, first in public schools, then at Miller School for more than 30 years, until his retirement.In his retirement, he continued teaching woodworking independently and creating woodcraft items.

He is survived by; his wife, Della Annette "Toni" Flynn Everard, and
three children, Timothy Miles of Waynesboro, Meredith Anne of Richmond, and Micah David of Scottsville.He has 7 grandchildren, Taylor, Damon, Amelia, Elaina, Anson, Sara, and Mason Everard. He was preceded in death by his sister, June Rose Everard Whitehead of Chandler, AR.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Friday April 8, at
Laurel Hill Baptist Church in Verona, VA by Rev. Bill Davis and Rev.
David Collier.Family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church.Interment will be on Saturday, April 9 in Arbovale Cemetery in Arbovale, WV.

Directions to Laurel Hill Baptist Church:from I-81, take Exit 227
east.(The exit will be for Verona, Rt. 612).Follow Route 612 eastward
for approximately 2.2 miles and bear left on Old Laurel Hill Rd.(There
will be a sign for the church at the fork in the road.)The church will be about .25 miles on the right.
