Mamie R. Shifflett, 86, of Brownscove, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2015 at the Hospice House in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was born on January 13, 1929 to the late Willie and Ellen Rosson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey V. Shifflett, and two brothers, George and Lester Rosson.

Mamie is survived by four daughters, Betty Shifflett of Brownscove, VA, Joyce Mundy and husband James of Charlottesville, VA, Virginia (Gin) Pairet and husband Eddie of Crimora, VA, Carolyn Massey and husband Roy of Charlottesville, VA; one sister, Josephine Frazier and her husband, Buster Frazier of Charlottesville, VA. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Tammy Morris and husband Kenny Morris; four great-grandchildren, Angela Mundy, Tiffany Peacoe, Cassey Morris, and Chad Morris, a special niece, Shirley Frazier and special nephews, Eddie and Willie, and a special sister-in-law Lucille Norvelle.

Mamie was so special to her family and friends. Her pleasant smile and kind heart will be greatly missed.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Prize Hill Cemetery in Boonesville, VA with Rev. Ken Keishman officiating.
