Mary Frances Cale Barrell, 94, of Charlottesville, VA died at her residence on February 20, 2015. She was born on October 19, 1920, the daughter of the late G. Franklin Cale and Margaret B. Cale. Mary Frances attended Madison College and graduated from Dunsmore Business College. She was a wife, farmer, and school bus driver for Albemarle County, and a member of Tabor Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Crafts Barrell, and a daughter–in-law, Suzy Barrell, three brothers, George, Edward and William Cale, and one sister Anne Cale.

She is survived by three daughters, Margaret Frances Barrell of Charlottesvile, VA; Mary Jane Barrell Eckes of Forest, VA; Barbara Anne Barrell, of Charlottesville, VA and her partner Angel Sanchez and daughters Beverly and Emily Taylor; one son, Herbert (Bert) M. Barrell of Charlottesville, VA. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Kelly Eckes Nauert, husband James; Scott Eckes, wife Emily; Nick Barrell, wife Audry; Mack Barrell and Miles Barrell. One great-granddaughter Katelyn Nauert. Several nieces and nephews.

Family suggest that memorial contributions be made to Tabor Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 446, Crozet, VA 22932.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, at 11:00 am at Tabor Presbyterian Church in Crozet, VA with Rev. Dr. Jewell-Ann Parton officiating. Interment will follow at Hillsboro Cemetery in Crozet, VA.
