Michael Wayne Welch , age 55, passed away after a well lived life. Michael was born in Richmond, VA on November 9, 1968 to Johnson and Mary Welch. He lived a life filled with love, laughter and a commitment to family.

Michael was the life of the party and everyone's favorite chef. He had an incredible work ethic, was a dedicated friend and an amazing father. He enjoyed fishing, grilling, and entertaining friends and family.

Michael was proceeded in death by his father Johnson Welch and survived by his mother Mary Welch, his brother John Welch (Debbie Foster), son Alex Welch (Lacey), daughter Lacy Kirkland (Kirk). Paw Paw Mike adored his four grand children, Hayden Welch, Michael Welch, Riley White and Paisley Kirkland.

Visitation services will be held at Anderson Funeral Services of Crozet on Thursday February 22, 2024 from 5-7pm to celebrate Michael's life. We will gather at a later date with his closest friends and family to honor his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude in the honor of Michael Welch.

Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts and memories in all who knew him. May he rest in peace. Cheers.
