Montie Lee Meeks of Free Union passed away peacefully at the University of Virginia Medical Center on Thursday April 27, 2017. Montie was born on August 18, 1955. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lois Meeks, and his loving wife, Terri Meeks.

He is survived by his sister, Rita Carmona, her husband, Richard and their son, Nathan; his mother-in-law, Carole Lee Maupin; father-in-law, Joe Maupin and his wife Carolyn; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Timothy and Pamela Shifflett.

Montie worked as an auto mechanic for over 40 years and most recently worked in sign fabrication/installation at Gropen, Inc. Monti loved playing bluegrass music and street rodding with his many friends,

A family visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 6-8 pm.

Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
