Rebecca Kay Lochstampfor Smith, 79, of Afton, Virginia (formerly Brandywine, MD) went home to be with her Lord on August 15, 2017. She was born on September 10, 1937 in Washington DC, the daughter of the late Edgar F. Lochstampfor Sr. and Rebecca Clark Lochstampfor. Also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Smith Sr. and one brother Edgar F. Lochstampfor Jr.(widow Linda). She was also preceded in death by her close and longtime companion Albert R. Myers.

She is survived by 3 children, Rose M Kenney of Berkeley Springs. WVA, Lydia J. Woodson of Afton, VA, and Thomas E Smith Jr. of Albuquerque, NM,and 1 brother, Carl F Lochstampfor Yorktown, VA (wife Jackie) and 1 sister Bernice Ann Lochstampfor of Washington, D.C. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Iyana, Heather,& Slade, 5 great-grandchildren, Kali, Riley, Ian, Maccus & Alex and 4 nephews, Morgan, Eric, C.J. & Wayne.

Mrs Smith was affiliated with the international Order of Job's Daughters, The order of the Eastern Star, and the Order of the Amaranth.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to a memorial service which will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Crozet Baptist Church with Rev. David Collyer officiating.

In lieu of flowers you may send a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Rebecca K. Smith.
