Roberta Bennett Foster passed away in her sleep early August 13, 2014. She will be deeply missed by all family and friends and especially by her husband David Foster. Roberta and David had been together in an assisted living home in western Albemarle County where they very recently celebrated their 70th anniversary and 92nd and 93rd birthdays together.

Roberta leaves three children; Susan Roderick of Whitehall, VA, her mutual "best friend" and tireless caregiver, Paul and Dwight Foster of Madison County, VA. David and Roberta have four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a third great grandchild expected in August.

Roberta's love, sense of humor and giving nature touched all who knew her. She was a devoted and loving mother and wife; whose sweet, "little girl" spirit will be remembered by her children, grandchildren, and friends. Her husband, David Foster, continues to describe her as "the love of his life." Her family draws comfort in the certainty of her faith and personal relationship with Christ.

Eventual burial is expected to be at Arlington Cemetery. There will be a private memorial for family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to Gideon's International or the Alzheimer's Association.
