Ronald Lee Shifflett, Jr., 56, of Crozet, died on Saturday August 25, 2013 at a local hospital.
He was born on March 15, 1957 in Albemarle County, the son of Ronald Lee Shifflett, Sr. and Joyce Ann Wood Shifflett.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Goolsby Shifflett; two sisters, Beth Ann Rosson and husband , Phil Adkins, and Tammy Seal and husband Dougie; two brothers , Gregory Allen Shifflett and Timmy :Buck" Shifflett and wife Pam, all of Crozet, Virginia; nephews, Jimbo and wife Sarah, Kevin Rosson, Douglas Seal II, and Cory Shiffett; great nieces and nephews, Katelynn, Alicia, Emaleigh and Wyatt Rosson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, special aunt, Stella Roach;uncle Jake Shifflett and special friends, Jim and Martha O'Mary.
Ronnie enjoyed hunting with his family, friends, and playing music. He loved to sing and play the guitar, banjo, and debro, especially an old Merle Haggard song.
Famiy will receive friends at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday. August 27, 2013 from 7 until 8 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Crozet Baptist Church in the fellowship hall.
