Ronald Lee Viar, 65, died at UVA Hospital on November 14, 2016, with his wife Linda by his side.
He was born on June 10, 1951 in Albemarle to the late Jesse James Viar and Ruby Lee Parr Viar.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Wayne Viar, Billy Viar, three sisters Linda Faye
Fitzgerald, Shelby Jean Rosson, Deborah Lynn Burgess.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Viar, two daughters, Tina Lynn and husband, Garry Cross
of Scottsville, Va. Tammy Lee Viar of Crozet, Va. one son, Ronald Lee Viar Jr. and fiance Wendy
Cantrell of Crozet, Va. one brother, Jimmy Viar of Crozet, Va. one sister, Barbara Sue and husband
Keith Sandridge of Crozet, Va. 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and one on the way. Several
nephews and nieces. Two family friends, Edward Strauss and Teresa Friend.

He was a truck driver for Van-Wyk of Waynesboro, Va. He was also a veteran Marine in the Vietnam War.

Ronnie was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. A great brother and a role model to
his nephews and nieces. Everyone who knew Ronnie saw him as a dependable, knowledgeable, kind,
strong minded, trustworthy person. He will be missed dearly but we have our memories forever.

The Viar family would like to thank the UVA staff and Hospice for caring not only for Ronnie but his
family as well.

The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Anderson's Funeral Home
Chapel in Crozet, Va.

A graveside service will be held at Rockgate cemetery in Crozet, Va at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2016 with Rev. Scott Jewell officiating.

Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
