Steven Michael Brown passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016 at his home in Crozet at the age of 58. He was born in Charlottesville, Va on April 6, 1958. He is preceded in death by his father, James Frederick Brown, Sr. and his brother, James Frederick Brown, Jr.

He is survived by his mother Lucille Brown, a brother William Brown and his son, Christopher Brown and his wife, Susan. He also leaves behind his two grandchildren, Madison and Jack, all of Crozet.

Steve was a graduate of Albemarle High School and from the University of Virginia's School of Commerce. He worked in finances at Specialty Blades of Staunton and Verona and for several years he worked with Lyme Kiln Theater in Lexington, which he enjoyed very much. Steve was a quiet and gentle person who loved nature, camping and the outdoors. Steve will be greatly missed by his family.

A private memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Albert Connette officiating.

The family suggest that memorial gifts may be sent to the National Park Service that would continue his love of nature.
