Thomas Ellison Ruscher, 89, of Crozet died at his residence on January 20, 2014, the son of the late Charles H. Ruscher, Sr. and Ruth Louise Ruscher. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Booth Ruscher and his brother, Charles H. Ruscher, Jr.

He is survived by his four sons, Thomas R. Ruscher and wife Kendall of Charlottesville, VA, Charles B. Ruscher and wife Dianne of Tucson , AZ, Richard E. Ruscher and wife Becky of Crozet, VA and Robert P. Ruscher and wife Maureen of Raleigh, NC, and six grandchildren, Thomas H., Kristin, John, Chrissy, Alex, and Kate Ruscher.

Tom was a mechanical engineer at Sperry Marine of Charlottesville and graduated from Bucknell University. He was in the army in World War II, Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 79 of Crozet, and founding member of Meadows Presbyterian Church.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Jewell-Ann Parton officiating.
